Hey everyone,
You might have seen the two threads https://vexforum.com/t/aura-college-reveal-quetzalcoatlus-and-double-cheese/21338/1 and https://vexforum.com/t/aura2-college-reveal-woodpecker-and-dragon/21339/1 where we released our robots just before worlds. For those who missed out on seeing our robots perform on the field (or at our pit), we took some quick videos of them today so you could see them work in action:
AURA (4th after Quals, Finalists)
Woodpecker: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJdOjerj1vY
Dragon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Qd2mQqr6vw
AURA2 (11th after Quals, Quarter-Finalists)
Quetzalcoatlus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sw3b8EiXKwI
Double Cheese: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0yphqVRWLA
We’ve also got a bunch of videos from the College competition at Worlds uploaded to our channel if you’re interested in watching some of the matches. The strategy is quite different to the high school game! http://www.youtube.com/aucklandrobotics
We’re always happy for teams to draw inspiration from our designs and create new and awesome robots with their ideas! It was awesome to see heaps of six-bars (https://vexforum.com/t/aura-re-reveal/18776/1) and robots inspired by Java ([https://vexforum.com/t/auras-introduction-to-java-world-cup-robot/19790/1) this season. We hope that everyone had a great time playing Gateway, and look forward to seeing what everyone can design to play Sack Attack!
