Autodesk Inventor pro 2017 help

Hey, so I wanted to put a CAD model in my engineering notebook and I know how to import a part but I don’t know how import multiple parts and attach them. I found some tutorials but they are like 2014 and lower, does anyone know if this difference in versions will effect me?

Make a new assembly and then add parts to it. All the tutorials should be still correct.
