When I turn the robot brain on and go to the Programs display I see Driver Control listed, but not Autopilot. I updated the firmware about a year ago. Will a firmware update install Autopilot or is there something else I need to do?

Yes, the latest firmware update will add the Autopilot program. In addition, the latest (v1.12) firmware for the Robot Brain adds a number of new features, including the ability to hot swap motors and sensors (you do not have to turn the Robot Brain off and on again to see what is newly plugged in), and better debugging options available through the new Device Info screen (Home Screen -> Settings -> Device Info).
