Avoiding firmware check on RobotC

Is there a way to have RobotC ignore checking that the firmware is up to date? I know there was a way in EasyC but I’m not sure for RobotC.

Before reading any further; please note that we always highly recommend running the latest version of the ROBOTC and VEX Master firmware on your robots as this will ensure that your robot has the latest bug fixes, capability enhancements, and features available.

That being said, you can turn off ROBOTC’s automatic firmware detection through the detailed preferences menu in ROBOTC. To do so:

  1. Navigate to the ‘View -> Preferences -> Detailed Preferences’ menu in ROBOTC.

  2. If you are not in Super User mode, change the ‘Menu Level’ option in the Quick Setup tab to ‘Super User’

  3. Navigate to the ‘Environment’ tab and enable the “Skip Integrity Checking on Firmware Version” box to disable the automatic firmware checking.

  1. Click Apply and OK to close the window.
