Balancer Hang

My team is trying to figure out how to create a balancing hang and is struggling to come up with how to get the robot to consistently balance. If anyone has any ideas to get a consistent balance hang, please help.

My team has a hang on an arm, using two stand-offs. However, over time my team has changed our robot and it is now too back-heavy to hang with our arm. My advice is to try to make the weight of the back and front of your robot about the same if you want to balance well. If your hang still does not end up working, maybe try an easier design that does not require too much robot balance, or even try to “hang” on the black middle bar of the field. You could also try adding reinforcements to your hang to make it steadier on the bar. Hope this helps!

You ever see those double-wing sets teams use? You can use those by (1) balancing on the barrier and (2) deploying front and back wings to push up on the 2 short barriers, keeping your robot balanced.
If your wings are strong enough this should be a quick adaptation. Just be mindful of horizontal expansion limits.

Our team has a flywheel that acts like a two bar. When we elevate, we open up our flywheel, and then the flywheel hooks onto the short elevation bar using standoffs. When we retract the flywheel, it gets locked into place, and we would still be elevating, even when the code is turned off.

I would say one of our sister teams has two sticks as a intake kinda they drive on barrier and they balance climb otherwise you could make a h drive drivetrain or a vertical wing
