So, I was reading the vex iq bank shot rules and it said that any cross pieces from vex platform to the vex iq platform is legal… does that mean if i cut a vex axle to a certain side i can use it because it can cross over? If not what pieces would be used between both platforms?

If memory serves, it was mentioned during the new product reveal at worlds that the new Long Shaft Add-On Pack was developed in part to keep IQ free from fabrication. Perhaps the manual was referring to rubber bands and rubber shaft collars, both of which are also listed as part of the EDR line.
