After traveling to the world championships in Louisville, our team’s battery board ended up dismantled by TSA, so it is no longer usable.
Our battery boards for the past 2 years have been similar to this one.
For the 2015-2016 season we are aiming to have a smaller battery board or battery charging station. Does anyone have any suggestions or examples of compact battery boards?
323 posted this a few days ago, which is a great idea, but probably not what you want if you’re looking for something smaller.
I’m working on designing a low cost and compact battery charging station, I’ll post information by sometime in the summer.

We went to this event that they have a pretty good set up similar to what you are showing but they looked a bit neater.
Although it looks somewhat large, it is actually quite compact. Especially for 12 charging slots.
We are also working on an even smaller, more compact design with significantly more functionality. Hopefully we will be able to release info on the new design by the end of May.
If you are interested in pre-ordering, please shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org ! There is no obligation, and you’ll be first to know when new info and pricing comes out.
Since you guys are SoCal too, if you’ve ever seen 9898A’s charger, it’s pretty compact, I’ll try to get an image, but it can charge 4 at a time, and it has active battery cooling.
We made a charging station out of scrap VEX parts last summer. It was designed in CAD and with the smallest power strips we could find. It holds 6 chargers and 6 batteries and is powered by one wall outlet.
The electronics are entirely contained and has a port for each battery connector.
This is it painted and assembled and before tidying it up. Currently a handle is not equipped but it is soon to come on this one or an upgraded version. I don’t have any better images. This was taken by event volunteers at a competition.
