We started putting together 4 VEX IQ robots yesterday. After todays session I suggested the kids charge their robots. One of the chargers has a solid red light. The manual says this is a battery fault. How is this cleared so the brain battery can be charged?
A solid red light indicates that the battery is charging and a blinking red light indicates a battery fault.
Please refer to page 68 of the IQ User Guide.
Just for completion (in case someone finds this thread when also looking for battery faults): problem can sometimes be helped by attaching a smart motor to a brain that sports the faulty battery, and revolving it by a using a crank. Brain will lighten up on each turn. Afterwards, battery should be rechargeable again.
