Battery issue on Vex IQ

I haven’t used my battery for about 2 months and still inserted at my Vex IQ’s brain. I was surprised that when I tried to re-charge, the battery seems broken. The charger keeps on blinking in red and does not charging my battery. By that, I know that there is a problem on my battery. Does anyone here knows how to fix it? or Can I return the battery to Vex and exchange it to new one? Please help me. Thanks

Keep on the charger at all times when not using battery ?

The best way to keep batteries in good shape is to remove them from the Robot Brain when not in use, and to fully charge them before storing them.

Charging should only be done under adult supervision. Keeping them “topped off” once a month (if they are not in use) will ensure the batteries maintain good condition.
