A word of caution on using magnetic cables: if your shop does any amount of grinding or cutting with a Dremel tool, you may find steel grit to be extremely problematic with magnetic cables. They stick to the connectors and short things out. We tried using them for about a year, and have discontinued because of all the issues.
We cut in another room so these have worked fine for us with regards to shorts. The 10ft one is also very useful with laptop-on-table robot-on-field situations.
You can always use a piece of tape to cover magnetic connector when doing dremel work.
