Washington? I’m surprised that made the list over norCal. What metric are you using for ranking these teams?

Indiana is by far the strongest region in the world. I forsee it getting split in the near future.

I’d say top 5 are China, British Columbia, Singapore, Tennessee, and Florida

Tennessee is definitely up there.

Curious about singapore and florida, though. Why do you list those?

washington is definitely one of the most competitive ones. i’m willing to die on this hill.

parthiv, aayush, ray, reiman, are all phenomenal this season
(66475c, exoC, exoB, 61002G)
at states, there were 4 teams with 400+ in skills
very strong.

As for method, there is no method

Feels like I am self-bragging… but have you heard of 8059 from Singapore?

And no… usually you will not hear much from Singapore until we hit you guys at worlds :stuck_out_tongue:

It is getting congested in the HS over here… 8059 will always be somewhere up there. But in recent years, I must give a lot of credit to 8076, 35768, 77789, 6546, etc.
They are pushing us real hard. It is no longer a foregone conclusion or a walk in the park for us.

In any case, we will not be attending worlds this year (too bad - you won’t get to see one of the best flatbots for this season), but we will be helping 8076 to put up a good show in worlds

Ohio, Michigan and Tennessee surely rate.

Singapore is always a top contender at worlds. Teams 8059 and 8076 have been awesome for a while, and others are on the up and up.

As a coach in Tennessee, I have watched our state improve greatly over the past several years to the point that I would consider it one of the most competitive regions in the world. There are a few teams that have been special for a few years now (9364C, 2775V, and 19589A to name a few), and there are several other teams/programs that are rising quickly as well (I’ll refrain from listing names at the risk of missing some, but look up TN matches and skills scores and see for yourself). Look for a few TN teams to stand out in April!!

Tennessee is up there 100%. No bias from me at all. I think Indiana and a lot of the Midwest U.S. is up there.

I’m pretty sure wisconsin should be on this list. We have: 5509E, 4082B, 5062X, 536C, 1200A, 54677A, 53171E/D, and WISCO, PLATT2, PVEGA5

Ohio?
I’m from Ohio and I believe our highest MS team isn’t even top 100 skills, and our highest HS is barely top 50.

Though we have seen some prominence in tournaments, I myself haven’t seen anything huge from my state.

Florida has Ace, Drumroll, and some other competitive teams in the mix.

British Columbia was one of the most competitive regions in Spin Up. We had:

  • 10012G (had a 398 skills score since january this year)
  • 1010N (22 wide tangent with 8m drive, 2m cata, 2m intake; created LemLib)
  • 10012W (worlds finalists)
  • 9181N (highest skills)
  • 6408N (overall very strong team)

This season BC doesn’t have as many competitive teams, but we are challenging all categories of VRC:

  • 1010W (formerly 10012W, HS Skills #25)
  • 10012G (MS Skills #3)
  • TNTN (VEXU Skills #1, gapped second place by more than 100 points)
