Bevel Gears for Intake/Flywheel

My idea is to have a 2 motor Flywheel with the intake ratcheted on just like 392X but I cant figure out what to use to go from horizontal gears to vertical. the Vex Beveled gears seem small and dont look like they can handle force and i heard that crown gears are terrible to get working. anyone have Cad designs, pictures, or just help?

For competition robots, bevel gears are almost never the answer. As you pointed out, the bevel gears can’t handle the force. These gears also take considerable more work to set up and have awkward spacing.

ok thanks! I knew about crown gears but I always heard they were hard to deal with but it looks like they can handle it

I got the crown gears working perfectly. I just have to add it to our mech and space it right but I was amazed at how well they work and I even sensed a hint of proudness from my teacher which is unthinkable. Thank you and good luck Ben and my friends say hi!
