Bound Notebooks: Running Out of Space

Apologies if this has been answered somewhere already officially; to the best of my knowledge it hasn’t.

What would be the recommended/required practice for when teams run out of space in their bound engineering notebook?

Should the team in question continue in another bound notebook and turn in both notebooks at competitions?

If so, would it be advisable/acceptable then for teams to use a 3-ring binder to house multiple bound notebooks, without any penalty?

Thank you for your post.

Teams that fill their bound notebook should continue recording their design process in additional bound notebooks as needed. It is in the teams best interest to turn the notebooks into judges in a way that keeps them together. Teams using the VEX Engineering notebooks supplied by the REC Foundation in their welcome kit may choose to use the existing holes to place them in a 3 ring binder. Teams may use other means at their disposal to keep the notebooks together.
