We recently were in a competition and my students autonomous programs worked perfectly and calibrated maybe 3 seconds before moving. When it came down to the 1st match, their brain calibrated for nearly 30 seconds before moving. Does anyone know what may have caused this and how we can prevent this from happening again? Thank you!
Hi Jennifer, welcome to the forum.
As always with code questions, seeing the code makes it 100% easier to help resolve problems. Can you post the teams code please?
Are you using IQ pneumatics ? I’ve heard some reports that the pump can cause enough vibration, depending on placement, to interfere with IMU calibration on the generation 2 brain.
We were not using pneumatics. I can post the code tomorrow when my students come to class.
Was there loud music played at the competition?
Believe it or not, but sound with just the right resonant frequency could mess up MEMS gyroscopes pretty bad.
