It is possible to update via a tethered controller using the VEX VSCode extension, but I would take Pascal’s advise at this point and just come to the software support desk and ask for help prior to going to your division for inspection. Ask for me (James).

There is a way to update the firmware through a tethered V5 Controller using the VSCode extension. @jpearman might have some instructions.
1.1.3 was released two months ago.
I think as @Yasou45 is an international team, it would be best for them at this stage to just have tech support do this first thing on Thursday morning at the venue.
Update via a tethered controller is fairly simple, all you really do is manually ask for update via the VSCode command palette, but because the update will take several minutes it can fail (think intermittent cable, battery dies etc.) They may end up with a non-functional robot causing them even more stress.
