Brain thinks it's connected to a field

I finally figured out why I’ve been having so many problems with my brain and controller. It’s because the brain thinks it’s connected to a field when it’s not. I have no idea how to fix this and I’ve tried wiping the brain and deleting the programs off it and none of that has worked. Sorry for clogging up the forums but hopefully my other post from a bit ago can be deleted. I just need to know how to fix this and I should be good.

This is usually damage to the V5 controller (specifically the legacy RJ45 competition port).

Just power up the controller and see if it shows the pause, driver or auton symbol on the top statusbar.

so what make you think the brain is connected to a field ?

It shows no symbol at all on one controller and the autonomous symbol for the other controller.

so don’t use the controller showing the autonomous symbol.

I checked the logs and it said “field tether connected”

ok, so what I said originally, damaged RJ45 connector on the controller
Use a different V5 controller.

I tried a third controller and it finally worked. I thought for sure that since I tried 2 seperate controllers that it wasn’t that. Thanks so much for your help <3
