It looks like you have loads of other stuff that uses USB serial (Arduinos, 3D printer etc) plugged in. Unplug all of these before trying again.

none of those are plugged in.
You mean they arenāt plugged in but they still show in Device Manager?

Ahh, I see these are ghosted so not actually connected.
when i plug it in i under usb section there is no new device
could the Brain not work or is it the computer?
Solved this exact situation on Win10 machineā¦
- tried holding both up & down buttons on - while press/release check mark - not fixed itā¦
- then swapped with a different battery and it turned on / showed menu / and on app
- also reminder of the red button hidden by the battery to hold down and count to 10ā¦
Try any of these steps - mine worked and solved the problemā¦

The red button on a 1st Generation IQ Brain is a mechanical latch, not anything connected with the electronics on the Brain so you could hold it all you like, but it does nothing as described here.
This button mechanically releases a latch retaining the radio module.
2nd Generation Brains do not have this button since there is no external radio module.
