Building stalemate

I’ve more or less reached the finish for my robot, the problem is that my robot doesn’t fit under the side elevation bars. My only options are either to disassemble my catapult and rebuild it smaller, or find a way to get my robot over the middle bar. (My robot is too back heavy to make it over, and my wheel design might make it difficult to make it over.)

How much workshop time do you have until your next comp?
To address your middle barrier problem, put your sleds on the back (or closest to your center of gravity) of your robot and move any air reservoirs you have.
If you have a lot of workshop time left, don’t be afraid to do a big rebuild on your catapult.

Just one other tip, might want to cut down those high strength shafts. Also, some more pictures of your bot and catapult structure would help us.

put the cat down lower so it can go under

What are the 1x5x1 c-channels for? Those are egregiously bulky and heavy. If you can, get rid of those (and maybe could help lower your cata).

That holds the catapult

There’s not enough space

By any chance could you reduce it to a 1x2x1 c-channel?
If it has to be that high, (1) that’s a power issue (more bands), and (2) you can use some standoffs+spacers to elevate a 1x2x1 c-channel that high (use either a 0.5 in spacer or standoff)

It looks like the sideways stand off is just a ‘stop’ for the launcher. Looks like the ‘tower’ is 1 hole too high. Cut off 1 section of holes, move the ‘stop’ down 1 level, and move the 1x2 c channel that’s bolted to the gear to a different set of holes to compensate and you’re done.
