CAD Design Opinion

Im new to Vex and I’ve tried to use Fusion 360 Education License. I’m not sure what would count as “good cadding” so could someone with some more experience grade what I have so far?

For the first one might want to use these drive shaft lock bars to attach your c-channels to the shaft.

For the second one - that will not work in real life. Try moving the cylinder pistons individually and rotate the c-channels with them. You’ll find that they won’t line up.

I’ll say it’s hard to “grade” anything from a couple of screenshots, but I can suggest a few things. From the pictures I can tell your screws are not aligned to the center of the channel hole, and it appears the cylinders’ extending parts (the sliders? Not sure what they’re really called) also are clipping through the channel hole. Make sure to use the align feature (and NOT the move->point to point feature. It’s not that it is harmful, it’s just inefficient imo.) to align the center of the screw heads to the sketch points in the center of each channel hole. You said you are new, so this may be a bit out of scope at the moment, but when designing the clamp, which I’m assuming is what’s going on here, it will benefit you immensely to learn how to properly utilize rigid groups and revolute joints to create realistic motion and simulate how your cylinders will actually move when built irl. From what I can tell you are rotating your parts manually to achieve that goal. Other than that, it’s a really good start. Taking your ideas from a thought or a sketch and creating them in a 3D space all lined up is pretty difficult, so good job. The chain especially looks good.
