Can field elements be used? I know from previous games, it specified in the game manual that game elements cannot be used. I don’t remember reading anything in this years manual.
Looking specifically at the blue wedges from “Pitching In” as well as the Hex from the purple tower from “Slapshot”

Please take a look at the Legal Parts and illegal parts lists, you most definitely find you answer there.
(Hint, I know last year the wedges where legal so I’m guessing there are this year, but have no clue what you mean by Hex.
I think by “Hex” you’re looking at the 14x14 Octagon Truss Plate (228-2500-1381), which is definitely legal, as you will see in the legal parts list that @Blaziumm mentioned. Those guides are always the authority, but I’ve found that a good guideline if you don’t have those handy in the moment is that structural pieces from previous years field elements are generally legal (if they’re of a reasonable size – no PVC pipes from the Slapshot Fence), and that scoring elements aren’t, but always verify against the official parts lists and ask in the Q&A if there’s any doubt.
