Can I just mount the v5 inertial sensor any where on my robot

Can I just put the inertial sensor like to the front of my robot or does it have to be in the center???

According to this VEX V5 Library Article:

it is essential to align the Inertial Sensor along the axis the robot will be experiencing a change in motion.

There might be an isolated case where an Inertial Sensor will be placed on a robot’s external component, but for most applications, the sensor will be placed on the drivetrain’s chassis.

Basically, it’s best to mount the sensor somewhere on the drivetrain of your robot, aligned with the axis of motion (forwards/backwards for most robots).
