Im trying to see if I could use my catapult as an elevation. My catapult extends out a little under 10 inches from the shaft and uses a 100rpm motor with a 24t gear to a 72t gear and a 24t sprocket as a rachet. I’m trying to lift it enough just to get a bit of elevation
As a starting point, you may want to increase the size of the back standoffs so that they can stay on the bar longer. How many motors are you using?
Why don’t you test that out yourself and document it in your engineering notebook? I think you could, and I don’t think there’s a more comprehensive way to say that. Try it and test it, that’s robotics in a nutshell.
How high is your cata from the ground?
What you can do is have your catapult fully extended, and have some standoffs at a certain point just above and just below where the horizontal elevation bar would be. You drive up to the elevation bar and pull down your cata

currently one red motor but but can upgrade to two
when the cata is released its about 18 inches in height. I built it to be able to go underneath the horizontal bar with the cata lowered. I currently don’t have my bot so I can’t get the exact measurements
