My team and I are attempting to create a basket-like structure and we would like to use shelf liner in creating the basket. Is this allowed in the VEX Starstruck Competition? I included a picture showing the material I’m referring to.

I assume you’re referring to the stuff VEX sells on their website. Yes. Plenty of teams line their claws with this to get more grip on the scoring objects.

EDIT: I realized the picture isn’t VEX’s thing. No you can’t use that. What I was referring to was this:

Actually, as long as it is identical to the VEX product, it is legal. Be careful not to use sheets larger than provided by VEX.
