Hello, me and my team were wondering if we could program our own controls for the in-person contest. Or is it an assigned program/driver control thing. Sorry about my bad sentence formatting.
If you are asking if you can program your own robot, the answer is yes.
Any question asking about the legality of something is answered by the game manual. As you read the game manual (https://content.vexrobotics.com/docs/viqc-rise-above/VIQC-GameManual-10012020.pdf), keep in mind that the game manual tell you things that you MUST do, and things that you are PROHIBITED from doing. It can’t tell you everything you might do, so if the game manual does not prohibit an action, then it is legal. To your question, Yes, you can program anything you want.
