Can Somebody Help?

My Drivetrain works normally when driving for about 2.5 Minutes, but then when trying to drive, the bot is very stubborn, and can only turn.

All Help is Appreciated, Thank you.

Your motors probably overheated, try giving it a rest after some time of use

Sounds like a lot of stress is being put on the motors. I’d make sure your bots drivetrain isnt being sandwiched too tightly. We had a similar problem when we first started, but it was because we miscalculated our spacing. Our wheels were under constant pressure from both sides. Hopefully ths helps. A picture would also help me to identify the issue if this doesn’t work.

It’s probably this. You can use quick swap motors to prevent this from happening in the middle of a competition because this seems like a major issue.

If you want to stop this issue, use more motors in the drivetrain.

That’s interesting! We typically just use two to four motors for our drivetrain, mainly because we don’t have a lot of motors to spare, but I’ve seen bots with multiple motors per drivetrain and wondered why teams do that. Now that you point out the relief of strain (and thus avoiding overheating issues), I’m thinking - that’s obvious! Why did I not realize that?
