Can you extend both vertically for pole climber and horizontally for wings in one match, I have looked in the manual and I have found nothing specifically stating whether you can or not.
I would say that is totally fine as long as you abide by the horizontal expansion limit (36 inches).
In general, if the game manual doesn’t say if you can or can’t do something, you are allowed to do it provided doing it doesn’t violate any other rules (the manual can’t possible be all exhaustive).
