Yeah we kinda wanna change our teamname but the division list has already released…

Can you change your team name in RobotEvents? Yes.

Will the new name be shown at Worlds? Maybe, in some places.

Physical things like team signs in the pits have almost certainly already gone to print. PDFs with team info on them (such as the published division lists) will probably not be regenerated. For displays generated by TM (rankings, match results, etc.), my guess is that they’d use the name your team had at the time the TM database file was created – no idea when they do that for Worlds, conceivably days before the event starts.

So expect to see the old name hanging around in some places if you make the change at this point.

Yes, TM databases were already created last night. With 40 separate events to set up and test, we do it as early as possible - as soon as RECF finalizes the division lists.

Considering that the TM stuff has been set up, I would recommend not changing your team name. This could lead to confusion for other teams, and they might be looking for for old team name and miss you because of your new name or vise versa.
