What types of characters can you put as your team name in robot events. Imagine how awesome would it be to have your team name be: Σ grindset

29760C’s team name on RobotEvents is “Ⓒⓞⓢⓜⓞⓢ”, thought that was pretty cool

You can use Unicode characters to an extent. They will show up on robotevents just fine, sometimes in via, but mess can mess hard with TM. Pit signs with them just show up weird. On the pit sign Ⓒⓞⓢⓜⓞⓢ would just show up as squares.

TM is a free download. You can create a test tournament and plug in the team name to see if the fonts will render it properly.
Note that TM runs on a PC or Mac, and the scores are usually displayed with Linux so your rendering results may vary. They may all have variations of the same font.
Another option is to volunteer for setup at a tournament. You may be able to ask the Event Partner to help you test different strings on that system. Make sure you have a prepared list of names.
