Caps and Flags are worth the same, but caps can’t be descored (On post as far as I know.) This would make the caps a much better option, right?
By the rules caps can be descored. That also seems to be the point of the game - just look at its name.
There is nothing in the manual as far as i’m aware that prohibits descoring caps from posts.

You just can’t purposely knock the caps out of the field. Other than that, do whatever you want to descore them and score them for your team.
