I also think that seeing what the VEX guys build something would be good.

You need to know that the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) kicked off on Saturday2 Jan. Most of the VEX/IFI people (Karthik, JVN, etc) all work with FRC teams. So there won’t be lots of people hours for them until FRC is over.

Middle School World Champions vs. High School World Champions
It’s not really a grudge match, but after the middle school Asian Pacific Champs I think it could go either way. It would be hard to get them together though.
