thing is, this is a longer-thought venue. its not the same as discord or other banter-oriented formats. if you find that you are subverting the limit, you are, frankly, missing the point of this space.

No, no. The point of the minimum , as previously suggested, is to keep content helpful and to prevent pointless posting, such as sone of the posts in this thread (including some of my own “comical” comments).
It’s really hard (albeit not impossible) to make a helpful and worthwhile post in under 20 characters. The limit helps to encourage posters to comment in a worthwhile manner with insightful content.
Or they could just end up typing “20 chars”.

It’s the title option in preferences. If your are a regular you have the option to have it as a title (grey tag on the right of your name), otherwise you cannot change it. DRow however has the ability to set his to whatever he wants.
