Chromebook not connecting to the brain?

i have a hp 14-db0060nr chromebook, and i tried using the provided app to connect to the vex v5 brain, but nothing showed up, can somwone help me!!!

Try turning the brain off then on then plugging in the cable try random things. Normaly it will eventually pop up.

i have tried everything, restarting the brain and my computer, deleteing and re-installing the app, i resest settings to factory default. nothing is working.

New cord? We had the same problem, so we got a new cord and it worked.

just tried, did not work :frowning:

Try restarting vex code and your chromebook

Make sure you installed V5 Blocks and not IQ Blocks. That happens more than you might think…

Are there any administrator system-wide settings (i.e. a school managed Chromebook) that may be blocking access to the USB ports?

On the Chromebook, under Chrome Settings -> About Chrome OS - > Detailed Build Information… can you post what the string under “Firmware” says?

For example, My ChromeOS device says “Google_Nocturne.10984.90.0”
