You recently answered a question from roboraven 91 regarding how many spots are offered for the world championship based on robot/programming skills:
Roboraven91,
This is an excellent question, thanks for asking. In early March the top 30 VRC teams in the global rankings will receive an invitation to the 2015 VEX Robotics World Championship, regardless of grade level. In summary, “A” is most reflective of the process.
Thanks!
Brad
So this seems to say that 30 spots will be given to the highest scores regardless of grade level…I understand that part. However, is there a differentiation between skills and programming? You simply said “in the global rankings”. Does this mean the 30 top driver skills and the 30 top programming. Is it only programming? Is it 15 of each for a total of 30?
Driver skills scores should obviously be way higher than programming skills, which is why I ask. The way your previous answer was worded it would seem in reality, only the 30 top driver skills would be rewarded with world championship invitations and not any programming skills. I apologize if this is a stupid question, I feel like I am not understanding something in your previous answer. Thanks for your time!
