Claw clamp for some type of lift (for elevation)

How would I make a claw clamp to the elevation bar so that after the time ends, it stays attached (without using pneumatics)

you could add some type of ratchet which would hold it into place.

You could reasearch on youtube. 1469A Has an excellent locking mechanism on their robot.

If your bot is able to use a claw to hold itself up there before the end of the match, you could just tell the motors to lock into their current position by setting stopping to hold

And if you’re looking for ideas on the actual claw, you could use a locking system that allows you to push into the bar, have something lock, and then be unable to slip out or pull away from the bar.

Im pretty sure that when the match ends the stopping to hold gets void as all code stops.

I like using worm gears for things thst need holding in place.
