There are 2 reasons for that. For one, this is the standard Cortex clawbot, which is older than you, I’d guess. It’s basically Cortex’s equivilant of IQ’s ‘Herobot’, even though it sucks for almost every competition. And the other being that you’re in IQ.

Sigh, now I feel old, VRC students younger than the Clawbot. And showing disrespect to the Clawbot. Many of a team has started with clawbots and clawed their way to the top.

Clawbot has been around since 2007. That would make roboteers younger than 13 also be younger than the clawbot. VRC covers middle school, and I’ve had more than a few middle school roboteers that were 12. :slight_smile: And I took the disrespect of the clawbot from your comment, so i think we are good here.

You’re actually correct. The last two bots I built were both pushbots, but this one’s a tray lift.

Our team just started V5 after only a year of IQ and we have started building the clawbot to get a better understanding of the pieces, and ways they can be used together.

Oh yeah, and respect your elders.
(Clawbot is older than I am)
