I was previously unaware of this, but it is mentioned in this thread that there can be a judging session for a whole club, instead of individual teams
I am wondering if this judging session is separate from each team’s normal session, or how it works. We are bringing 4 teams to Worlds, so my school would definitely be interested in taking part in this, I’m just wondering how we go about doing it.
I’m not sure if this thread just got passed over, but if I could please get an answer on this, I would really appreciate it so my club could plan accordingly.
Thanks for asking for more clarification. Clubs that have teams that have won prior Excellence Awards are eligible to sign up for an Excellence Award interview with the judges at Championship. We would prefer to see all teams from a single club together for this interview. Please remember to sign up at http://robotevents.com/vexawards/ to reserve your interview time. Please also remember that in order for a club or team to be considered for the Excellence Award, that you must meet all of the Excellence Award criteria for World Championship.
Does this mean that only those teams who have won an excellence award should be present at the session, or all the teams from our school, regardless of whether or not they have previously won an excellence?
Thanks for your help!
Great follow-up question. I would have all 4 of my teams (my entire club) represented in the Excellence Award Interview. Just sign up for one interview time slot, and have everybody show up to the interview. As long as a single team from your entire club has won an Excellence Award, you are eligible (as a club) for the award at World Championship. Remember, submit your request by April 1st!
