Just a little historical note what we call ASCII art started in the 1800’s as typewriter art.
It has also been done with teleprinters.
A museum I volunteer for has been given a collection of teleprinter art punch tapes. We are currently setting up equipment to print them out. It should be quite interesting.
Early computers ( mainframes etc ) were used to also produce art.
So you can see people have always had to much time on their hands.
You can also use the [/font] for the end and the [font=“Courier New”] for the beginning to use a fixed-width font. Good alternative to code tags and is easier to immediately see results if WYSIWYG editor is enabled. Look at my signature too! I did that for my sig.
Changed my design to the font tags. The original codetag art only took a few minutes. Signature a few minutes too.
