College team travelling to Dallas, needs place to stay!

Your college students, use your power in numbers!

A $90/night room / 4 college students = $22.5/night

Bring a BIG box of Pop-Tarts for breakfast versus paying through the nose for food at the hotel or event.

Get a hotel close enough to walk to the arena. ~ Free

Split the taxi bill from the airport to the event and back ~ $40 / 4 = $10

So you have (per student) $150-$200 plane bill, $10 taxi, $60-80 hotel, + two meals a day * 3 or 4 days. Most your looking at is $350 a student.

Do a fund-raiser and you can knock that down!

Cody,
That’s about what we’re projecting, right now we’re just looking for ways to cut costs. We’re doing a huge sponsorship drive this weekend, but there are only 4 of us and we just found out that we were going last Saturday. We’re hoping that we can raise enough to offset our costs a bit, but as of right now, everything is up in the air.

I see…

PTD’s agenda:

I think the big issue is that everything around the convention center is block to block city. If you wanted a place to crash, you’d need your own transportation. I personally LOVE the big city look and feel, going to Dallas was loads of fun.

I (honestly) would try those hex bugs OR selling chocolate candy bars. The candy bars are simple, buy a box, sell um at 150%, put the box in an office break-room, come back a few days later. Maybe post a picture of the team and write a description of what the money goes towards.

I look forward to competing!
