Combination of V5 and Old Motors?

Due to a strange set of circumstances, our team has only five V5 motors. Is it competiton legal to use three old cortex motors in our bot?

I say this because if 2 wire motors are not allowed with V5 why would three wire motors?

Ok, I know the old Vex motors aren’t allowed, but has anybody asked about Lego ones? /s
