Compatable Gyro Sensor?

I noticed that the Hitec HG-R01 Gyro sensor had what to be the female vex connector (no prongs). Can you change the female connector to make it a male and will the sensor be compatible with vex?

Thanks

Would this be the male pins?

Or is the Futaba male better?

I don’t have any experience with this gyro, so I don’t know what the interface is. The voltage range sounds right (4.8-6V), and since it is 3 pins, it pretty much has to be GND, V+, and Signal. You’ll need to figure out if the signal is Serial, PWM, or Analog.

Yep, that looks like the right part to me. Most of these type of connectors use fairly interchangeable contacts, though probably best to just order a few the first time around just to be safe.

Looks like the right part to me. Also, have a look at these, which appear to be the same but slightly cheaper.

I recommend the ADSRX300 from spark fun electronics.

I found that the Memsic 2125 Dual-axis Accelerometer that I found at Radioshack should work great! I just need to buy one and I’ll tell everyone how well it works. The PIR sensor works great!
