Is it just me or are all of the vex competitions pretty redundant. They’re all played in square arenas, have to do with picking up a ball or ring, and putting them in goals. I mean what ever happened to a classic game like robot soccer? I’m not suggesting that FIRST should have robot soccer competitions but it would still be pretty sweet. I just think that the people who think up the competition ideas need to think a bit more outside the box.
There are many competitions out there. If you don’t like this one do another one. FIRST will design a game that fits in with their “style”.
i agree with texas ranger but you kind of have to stick with it because bridge battle and FIRST are the only major competitions (if someone has a different one in Canada then plz tell me because if FIRST drops Vex I still want to compete with Vex)
Depending on where in Canada you are this may be an option, http://www.robofest.net/ There is the VEX pentathlon and I think this year they might be adding another VEX event. There is also sumo for VEX.
