The robot pictured here was built to duplicate the functionality of a robot from a different manufacturer. The resulting Vex IQ robot was sturdier and built only with the parts in the Vex IQ starter kit; the comparison robot was built with a starter kit and parts from a supplemental kit and other sources.

I noticed some sensors on the comparison robot - do you plan on expanding this demo once equivalent sensors become available?
Yes, I will add sensors although I will have to build a new robot as there is a robotics club that is presently disassembling the robot and experimenting with the kit. I will at least write a simple line follower and experiment with the ultrasonic sensor before sending it back out in the field. I just downloaded Modkit Micro and will do some initial programming with an Arduino. (I also just ordered sensors)
