Hey guys, I have been on the forum for some time now, and I have noticed a few documents on drivetrains, but I wanted to add on to them too, with more information, for this year, and what other drivetrain types we can do for the next few years, and what I think is the Meta(s) for this season.
Here is the following document:
Document
For those of you short of time, here is a summary of the document:
- Drivetrain Data: This section details various VEX robot drivetrain configurations, including motor cartridge RPM, gear ratios, wheel diameter, calculated wheel RPM, linear speed (in/s and mm/s), and an assessment of pushing power/agility.
- Push Back Scoring Sheet: This section outlines the scoring categories and points awarded in a competition. These categories include autonomous bonus, autonomous win point, points per block scored, controlled zone points, points for controlling the center goal (upper and lower), and points for parking alliance robots.
I hope this helps my fellow teams and others trying to build a drivetrain, whether it is your first season or last season of the VEX V5 tournament.
I encourage anyone to edit the document and add more, for all teams to use in the long term.
