computer software transfer

I purchased easyC v4 in Dec '11, and cannot download the update on the computer it is installed on, so I would like to uninstall it and re-install on a newer computer in the house. How do I go about this, I believe I need a new PC specific code? Thanks,

Every unlock code is unique to a matching PC Specific Code. The unlock code will become invalid if you change a physical component in your PC (e.g., hard disk, network card, CPU), format your disk, or install a new operating system in the time between an unlock code being issued and applied. The unlock code is only used during the licensing process. Once the software is licensed, physical components may be changed without affecting the “licensed” status of the software.

If you want to upgrade your operating system and keep your software operational, you must first transfer the license (unlock code) to another PC.

Once you have upgraded your system, reinstall the software (if necessary) and transfer the license back.

If you do not have a PC available for the temporary transfer operation, return the license to intelitek.

To transfer a license from one PC to another
Install easyC on the destination PC and get the PC Specific Code from the Registration Dialog Box.

On the source PC, choose ‘Manual Transfer’ in the Registration Dialog Box.

Enter the numeric 8 digit PC Specific Code from the destination PC.

The software on the source PC will generate an unlock code. The license on the source PC will be permanently removed.

To return a license to intelitek Online so you can retrieve it later
From the Registration Dialog Box, select ‘Online’ and enter your CD key.

The software will automatically generate a unique Remove code and send it to intelitek.

Warning:

Transferring or removing your license is final and immediate. After removing a license from a PC, easyC will no longer operate on that PC. Be very careful to record your remove code, and all transfer information during this process. A faulty internet connection could leave your PC unlicensed while preventing intelitek from receiving your transfer or removal request.

To return a license to intelitek by E-mail so you can retrieve it later
From the Registration Dialog Box, select ‘E-mail’ and enter your CD key.

The software will generate a unique Remove code.

Send the Remove code and your CD key to intelitek via email; intelitek will confirm the codes and credit your CD Key with an additional seat. This process is manual and can take up to several days to complete.

Once your license has been returned, you are not required to retrieve it by email, but may re-license the software as normal.
