Looks like you have a full house for Sunday (and it looks like a busy weekend for Brad between MD and CT!)

I did notice the absence of the Green Eggs team from both events, are they playing this year?

I do not know about Green Eggs. What is their team number?

Right now, we have 23. I’m still hoping for just one more team so that everyone will get to play in the eliminations.

Never mind, I put my vast Google skills to work and I found the Green Egg Robotics website. They are up in New England winning. I saw them in Baltimore and was blown away by “Fred” The are one of the teams that makes you go “You built that out of VEX?, WOW!”

Green Eggs team number is 44. Unless they changed it…

Hi,
Greetings form Green Egg Robotics. I just came across this thread. Thanks for the kind words Foster. I’ll pass them along to the guys. We enjoyed watching the Mid Atlantic tournament via online feed and we went down to Connecticut to cheer on a friend of ours from Mansfield Middle School competing this past weekend. We would have loved to have participated in either tournament but a couple of the guys were actually slated to participate in an outdoor soccer tournament last weekend on Long Island that ended up getting canceled at the last minute due to the storm.

We are planning on competing on March 20th at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, MA for the New England Vex Championship. We would love to see teams from all around New England and the Mid Atlantic states (and beyond) there. The Cheesy Poofs (254E) competed in the Mass State Vex Championship last month. It was great to meet them and have them in the Worcester tournament.
Best Wishes,
Bill

I’m sorry I missed this post earlier. In the Tournament Manager software you can set the Elimination options to support eight alliances with more than 16 and fewer than 24 teams. You just select either “fill unbalanced alliances starting with high seeds” or the opposite in Tools – Options – Eliminations. Personally, I would allow the first-ranked alliance to play with two, as this gives them an advantage by not having to play a lower-ranked team in their second match – an advantage they earned by being top-ranked. This is covered in the Tournament Manager User’s Guide.
