Controller 3d print

What use is putting this on

a controller? does it help with locating buttons or ergonmic?

It helps with driving efficiency. Since it makes face buttons more accessible if a robot has many functions it allows the driver to keep their fingers on the joysticks. Thus improving speed and allowing them to do many things at once.

Interesting. Are all of the scuff buttons on the back for using the ring finger and pinkie to hit the buttons on the front? I am interested in using one of these.

Is this VRC Comp legal?

Yes, from what I have seen it is allowed in vrc competitions.

Yes, but they might be a bit hard to reach if you have small hands.

I see. Do you think I could do something like this with a cheap hobby 3D printer? I like the idea but for this season, I don’t think it will be strictly necessary as most robots aren’t very complex. Time will tell.

It depends on how many functions are tied to your controller. These can definitely be done with a hobby printer. Personally I haven’t had any issues but a dremel and sandpaper would probably fix any issues that may come up.

Sure, someone I know was able to print one on a Prusa Mk3 I believe.

For us last season it was very useful, especially the top ones, and as for being able to print it I am not sure.
