Performed simple test with motor connected to brain and a tethered controller. A good controller when connected will run the motor when joystick is moved. When I connect my problem controller, the left joystick is not functional. Have reinstalled the firmware on both the brain and controller. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Is there a utility that can check controller functionality?
Thanks,
Paul
Hi psluckis,
We’re sorry that you have encountered this issue. The most common cause for the issue where a Controller joystick not working properly is when the joystick calibration process may have been started and only partially completed.
To resolve this problem, please tether your Controller to your Robot Brain and turn on the Robot Brain. Press the X button to enter Settings, then scroll down to Calibrate Controller and press the Check button to begin the calibration procedure. We have a video tutorial for this procedure available on our YouTube channel here:
If re-calibrating your Controller joysticks does not resolve this issue, please contact VEX Technical Support at [email protected] or by calling +1-903-453-0802 for more detailed help in resolving this issue.
