I have a controller that worked a few months ago that won’t work at all now. No lights at all will turn on on the controller. I’ve tried replacing the battery with a fully charged battery out of another remote. I still don’t get any lights. No lights turn on when it is plugged into the computer, even when using a known good cable (another remote plugged in to it will charge). I believe this is the robot that my team purchased at Worlds, although it might have come out of a SuperKit. Is there anything else I can try to get the remote to work?
Hi daddycrusader,
We’re sorry that you have encountered this issue. To help try to resolve this issue, please check the battery compartment and ensure that the battery is inserted in the proper direction, and that the battery contacts do not appear to be damaged.
If both of these are correct, please connect your Controller to a Robot Brain via the Tether Cable, turn on the Robot Brain, and then turn on the Controller. Do any of the LED lights on the Controller come on?
If either the battery contacts appear to be damaged or if the LEDs on the Controller do not turn on when connected via Tether Cable to a Robot Brain, please contact VEX Technical Support at [email protected] or by calling +1-903-453-0802 for more detailed assistance.
