I WANT TO EMPHASIZE: I am not speaking on behalf of SIGBots or their wiki team for this, as an alumni a year removed I’m doing this unsanctioned but it’s probably to the benefit of the project as a whole.
I’m starting this thread because I’m sure some of you guys have clicked on this article and noticed the lack of… content whether it’s images or even text:
I want to change that, please send images of robot decorations of different types and I will try to add them to the robot decorations articles. Especially if there’s some unique legality to them (LED strips, different material, etc.), please provide a short explanation to them so we can crowd source this article!
The more variety the better! Can’t wait to fill out this article and cross it off the TODO list .
For the sideplates, we cricut cut vinyl stickers out of gold, in the shapes we needed. We then placed them on cut precolored polycarbonate pieces, in this case black, and put identical, decorational transparrent polycarb over it and screwed it together to protect the cricut stickers. Its a bit heavy but the pattern is 100% permanent;
