Correct use of parts?

Ima just keep this short. I made this in the morning, and I want to know whether or not it’s actually supposed to be used this way. It works though.
Thanks!

Could you please take another picture from another angle?

Got it, I added a few more pics. Sorry about that

Seems fine to me. Well built, even.

There is no incorrect use of parts. If it does what you need it to do, it’s correct.

Oh, really? Wow I actually didnt know that!

“Correct” usage of parts will have gotten us just about nowhere in this competition. As everyone evolves their thinking and parts remain the same, people will find new uses.

That’s where we get custom tensioners, screw joints, custom ratchets, rubber band roller intakes, standoff supports, and all kinds of other really cool (and surprisingly common) mechanisms.

I personally have misused all kinds of parts. (And have ended up breaking plenty of them by doing so.) But that’s what’s so fun about this: you get to improvise and come up with your own solutions!
